I've done proofreading or editing or writing for 30 years. It's what I love to do. I can't seem to get away from it. I know there are typos; you deal with it.” Or, “Make sure Esther sees that before it goes out!” I’m also great at brainstorming: friends as well as clients bring material or ideas to me and ask, “Can I run this by you?” Other times people come to me and say, “I wrote this piece, but it doesn’t really convey what I want to say. Here are the facts. Can you make it sound interesting and exciting? Oh, and professional, too.” People come to me with a lot of fear. They say, “Oh no! I have to write something! I can’t write! Help!” And I help. I’ve written presentations, ads, case studies, press releases, web content, marketing material, newsletters, bios, serious research papers, and silly poetry. One thing that people have said to me many times over the years is, “Wow! That’s exactly what I was trying to say.” I’ve edited a parenting magazine, written an award-winning article, marketing material and website content for myriad businesses, and edited everything from novels to bios. As a member of the California State Bar, I'm familiar with legal terminology and can combine my writing skill with this familiarity to turn out letters and documents that will get the results you want.
